This page describes how to request deletion of your HamaraSetu account and the data associated with it.
How to request account deletion
Send an email to sarastacklabs@gmail.com with:
- Subject:
Account deletion request — HamaraSetu - From: the email address you have on file with us (if any), or any email address you can be reached at
- Body: include the phone number you used to register on HamaraSetu (this is how we identify your account, since the app uses phone-OTP login)
We will reply within 5 business days to acknowledge your request and may ask you to verify your identity by responding to an OTP sent to your registered phone number, before we proceed with deletion.
Once your identity is verified, your account and the data described below will be deleted within 30 days.
What gets deleted
When your account is deleted, the following data is permanently removed from our systems:
- Your profile (name, phone number, email if provided)
- All saved delivery addresses associated with your account
- Your favorites list (saved items at each shop)
- Push-notification tokens for your devices
- Your authored ratings and review comments (the ratings continue to influence the shop's aggregate rating but are anonymised — the ratings can no longer be traced back to you)
- If you are a shop owner: your KYC documents (Identity Proof, GST Certificate, Shop Registration, storefront photo) are deleted from Firebase Storage; your shop is marked inactive and removed from customer listings
- If you are a delivery partner: your reported location data and online-status history
What is retained and why
Some data is retained after account deletion, for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention reasons. The retained data is disassociated from your personal identity wherever possible.

Retained records are not used for any purpose other than the legal / regulatory ones listed above.
Deleting individual data items without deleting your account
We currently offer account-level deletion only. To remove individual items (e.g., a specific saved address or a specific past order) without deleting your entire account, please contact us at sarastacklabs@gmail.com with the specific request and we will process it on a best-effort basis within the same 30-day window.
